YIVO Board News: Fall 2025

New Board Member: Jack Cogen
Jack Cogen is currently a director of CoreWeave, the AI hyperscaler. From 1994 to 2014, he was a founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Natsource Asset Management LLC, an asset management and advisory firm focused on global environmental markets and related energy products. He also served as Chair of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) from 2008 to 2011 and continues to support the organization as a Fellow. Additionally, he was a director of Hudson Ridge Asset Management LLC, a natural gas hedge fund, from 2013 to 2018.
Mr. Cogen earned a B.A. from Rutgers University, as well as an M.S. in Mathematics and an M.B.A. from New York University. He has served on the boards of Temple Shaaray Tefila of New York (former treasurer), the Gateway School of New York (former chair), the Energy Brokers Association (former treasurer), The Trevor Day School, and the Purnell School. He currently serves on the Oversight Committee of the United Jewish Appeal of New York.

Emil Kleinhaus Returns to the YIVO Board of Directors
Emil Kleinhaus is a partner at the law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. He was previously a member of the YIVO board of trustees from 2013 through 2022. He has been involved as a board member and otherwise in various projects at YIVO, including the acquisition of the Chaim Grade archive. He lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with his wife and two children.
